So...it's been awhile.
Like, a while awhile.
A lot of stuff has happened, and I'm not going to remember most of it tonight. I'm going to try to spit out some important things, though.
Okay, so on St. Patrick's Day, I went to Medieval Times and the Red Knight (who was very, very cute) threw me a carnation and it was purple and lovely and it made my week and I still smile remembering it. That was the first time I've ever been given anything at events like that, and it just really made me feel awesome and happy.
Another thing that happened is that the Avengers came out, and I recently saw it a second time and it was just as amazing and wonderful, but Hawkeye only got, like, thirteen minutes of screen time. That is the only part that sucked, though. But still, that sucks. I love Hawkeye. Like, a lot. It was sorta kinda made up for with all the implications that there's a Natasha/Clint thing going on (more on that later), but it still just...sucks. I was so excited that he was going to be in it, and he's one of my favorite Avengers ever.
The Clintasha thing isn't a new OTP I've gotten into, but it totally reared its head after I saw the movie (and then again when I saw it the second time). So, yeah. They're my Avengers OTP. Everyone else can end up with whoever(ish), but they have to be together forever. No Winter Soldier coming between them.
I have a new star-crush on Jeremy Renner, and the rest of this paragraph is totally going to be me talking about how fine and wonderful he is, so just a heads up. But yeah, he's the cutest hunk I think I've ever laid eyes on, and everything about him is just *perfection* (I mean, I'm sure there's a flaw *somewhere*, but I've yet to see it), and he's an amazing actor (not the best, because that's Johnny Depp, but he's up there, believe me). He can sing, and it's wonderful (he sang Billy Joel, and that pretty much was the point of no return for me, because I *adore* Billy Joel). He plays guitar, and he writes his own music (and it's also amazing). A part of me also wonders whether or not I ship him and Scarlett Johansson or Clint and Natasha more, because they are both just adorable.
So, yeah. That's some new stuff. Now it's summer, and I have SAT stuff to learn (partly boring, but I do, surprisingly, enjoy the vocabulary learning, and that slightly scares me). I have three Don't Break the Chain calendars, which has been working so far, so that's all good. I have plenty of comics and just loaned my newest graphic novels out to a friend, and I finished nearly all my "new" Tolkien stuff, so after I read about Tom and finish The Messenger, I can finally get back to The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
I'm going to try to grow something this summer. I've been told to start with rosemary, so when I get some money from my babysitting gig (that I pray works), that will be nice.
I'm going to go to Minnesota again this summer, and I think that will be good for me, because to date that's the one place I've been able to relax completely.
I need to go make a crane now, so God bless, mes amis, and try to all have a great summer. DFTBA.
